During this holiday season we wanted to give a shout out to the people on the other side of the counter. You know your barista that gets you that glorious cup of caffeine goodness before you do some serious shopping at the mall. We’ve asked three baristas to share their thoughts about the holidays.
1. WHAT’S THAT NOISE? WHAT’S HAPPENING? WHY IS IT 4:30AM?
OH it’s my alarm, my shift starts at 6AM… But my bed is SO WARM…
2. Why is this bus late again? It’s so cold! And these shoes ARE NOT made for the snow.
Honestly though… I might lose a toe…
3. Are these people actually knocking on our door? We’re CLEARLY not open…
It doesn’t matter if you’re late for something, we’re not opening the store just for you.
4. Okay morning rush, we can DO this, I’m gonna be a latte making SUPERSTAR!
NOTHING beats getting into the zone on bar with a line of drinks.
5. Oh it’s the cute “large cappuccino with one sugar” guy…
We only refer to you by your drink order… Accept this.
6. This foam is a work of art, too bad they ordered no foam…
Why is the best foam always made for no foam orders?!
7. HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT STRAWS IN THE TRASH?!
Honestly, the garbage is RIGHT THERE.
8. Break time, I guess I’ll sneak in a croissant
OKAY I HAD 9 ALREADY BUT THEY WERE ALL STALE I SWEAR.
9. Did he just say EXpresso?
It’s really not that hard, let’s all say it together E-S-P-R-E-S-S-O
12. No, no please keep talking on your phone, totally fine…
Enjoy your decaf espresso shots…
13. Of course the holiday drinks are all pumped with sugar.
But that’s the whole point of the holidays! Start counting calories next year.
14. I wonder what it feels like to have weekends off…
*cries internally*
