After a rough life, Megan enlisted in the Marines. She gets herself into a little trouble and ends up on K9 cleaning duty- where she meets Rex.
She works her a$$ off to be considered as a dog handler, and when she finally receives a dog to train, she’s paired up with Rex. He is an aggressive dog who bit his previous handler, but Megan finds a way to gain his trust. They train hard and in the process becoming the best of friends.
They end up being the perfect match and when they take on active duty in Fallujah and Ramadi, they worked together to save thousands of lives. Megan and Rex were both injured in an IED explosion.
Megan doesn’t re-enlist and when Rex is deployed again, it risks splitting up the pair for good- until Sarah takes matters into her own hands.
