Soo it’s #NationalCakeDay (who makes up these days, anyway?)… and naturally, the first thing we thought was… Is it appropriate to eat cake not only for dessert, but for breakfast, too?
And if NOT, how do we MAKE it acceptable?
Well, SPC did our research, and we’re giving you 5 steps to make having cake 5 minutes after you wake up a “thing”. Our trick? Over-rationalize how close cake really IS to a traditional breakfast.
STEP 1
Grab all of your ingredients: cake mix, eggs, water and icing.
NOW IT’S TIME TO OVER-RATIONALIZE HOW THESE INGREDIENTS RELATE TO BREAKFAST
CAKE
PANCAKE
ANCAKE
NCAKE
CAKE
Done.
EGGS
THAT’S A GIVE-IN. YOU PROBABLY EAT EGGS FOR BREAKFAST EVERY DAY ANYWAY.
ICING
JUST GET CREAM CHEESE ICING. YOU PUT CREAM CHEESE ON YOUR BAGEL IN THE MORNING, CORRECT? YA SO YOU’RE GOOD.
STEP 2
Follow the instructions on the pancake mix box.
STEP 3
Ice your pancake with cream cheese spread icing after its cooled.
STEP 4
Eat your breakfast, and enjoy. With your morning coffee.
STEP 5
Don’t feel bad about it. It’s #NationalCakeDay.
