It’s a trend that’s sweeping across the nation. Okay, that may be reaching a little; but even though false lashes have been around for a long time, they’re becoming more and more popular (even for every day wear – think Kylie Jenner).

We get it – they can be a little intimidating. But it’s all about practice, practice, practice!

Step 1

Gently peel your false lashes from the tray. They may be a little stiff at first, so take each side and make them do a little ‘dance” to loosen them up a bit! This will help the false lashes form to the shape of your eye.

Step 2

Place false lashes along lashline to ensure they’re not too big for your eye! (Make sure to do this with a clean lash band – no glue yet!). If the lashes are a little too big, you can cut them to size. Always cut from the longest end first, since the end near your tear duct will usually have shorter lashes to make them appear natural (so you don’t want to get rid of those).

Step 3

Once your false lashes are the right size (with or without cutting), apply a very small line of glue to the lash band.

EXPERT TIP: Do NOT apply the lash right away! Wait at least 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky. This is the number 1 tip for the art of the falsie!

Step 4

After your 30 seconds are up, place the false lashes as CLOSE to your upper lashline as possible! I like placing in the middle of my eye first, and then fastening each end.

Step 5

Do the other eye next, et voila! Your false lashes are complete. You may still see the glue, but that will dry either clear or black (depending on which glue you bought – we chose black!). Now go out and bat those beauties.
