It’s that time of the year again, when you can’t stand to look at another sweater – let alone actually wear it! If you’re anything like me, you’re completely uninspired by your wardrobe and in total need of fresh spring/summer looks…and if you’re REALLY like me you can’t afford a whole new wardrobe.

Here are some tips to refresh your look without selling your soul to credit card debt:

1.Go back to what you have. While trends do change, a lot of pieces will last for many seasons. Your old spring/summer clothes can still look great just the way they are, or be reworked to look brand new! Try distressing some shorts or cropping a tshirt.

2. Thrift it! Luckily, vintage finds are soooo in this year. Hit up some thrift/vintage stores for some unique pieces – you never know what you’re going to find!

3. Get cash back while shopping – use a credit card that gives you cash back on your purchases. It’s always a treat to get a reward for spending your money 😉

4. Be rational. Never underestimate the power of separating needs from wants – yes, there is a difference. A new t-shirt is cool, but so is the one you already have at home. Put your budget towards the pieces you actually need.

5. Shop SMART! Use discounts where you can – AKA this really cool thing called SPC to save major shmoney (as the cool kids say).
