November 11th marked the announcement that after 4 years of fighting, the formal agreement had been signed by the Allies and Germany to end hostilities. The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, World War 1 came to an end.
The poppy is used a symbol of remembrance. On November 11th, we remember the brave people who fought and gave up their lives to fight for our country. There was over 17 million deaths during the first World War- and it is important to commemorate all the sacrifices that were made and the lives that were taken.
