“‘Jubilee Courtyard’,” it’s an outdoor courtyard in the middle of the university with tons of picnic tables and trees that look beautiful in the fall. It’s a great place to hangout and study.” – Kailey K.

“Ontop of this big pile of concrete barriers that overlooks the baseball diamonds, a forest, pathways, and a small creek! This area is also separated off from the school, traffic by a few hundred meters and a row of thick trees!” – Matthew L.

“The Ryerson Quad! This is our only green space on our central downtown campus. You have a place to play sports, sit under a tree and read, all while staring at the CN Tower!” – Austin J.

“My favourite spot to chill on campus is Wilf’s Restauarant and Bar. Not only is it the place to get your favourite food, grab a drink, and hangout with friends, but it’s the place I also work at on campus and I absolutely love to meet new people, talk to them, and hear their stories. This is the place that Laurier students go to for a break between classes or to catch up with friends and it’s my favourite spot to chill, whether I’m working or not.” – Serena G.

“In the University College building on campus, there is a room on the second floor “395” it’s a room with a pin to get in only provided to philosophy students, and it has a nice big table to sit and study, couches for napping and an empty closet you can throw your stuff in when you don’t have a locker and need twenty minutes to run and get food without your big winter parka on! “My favourite place to chill is the SLC, which is the main student centre. There is always something going on, from people breakdancing, to salsa classes, to dogs to reduce stress, and much more. “My favourite spot on the Keele campus is the open courtyard of trees near Vari Hall; resting below the trees reading a book or newspaper, scribbling notes into my notebook or eating or drinking while watching as the leaves rustle gently. I can lie down and see puffy white clouds float by in the backdrop of a blue sky or watch the sunlight reflecting off the water in the pond, where Canadian geese float or chitter chatter along its shores. There are students and staff walking to and fro, or playing games and talking to one another sometimes too. It’s quite beautiful!” – Rabeya A.

“Computer lab at the (TEL) building – perfect for quiet time during study periods. It is also ideal to tackle assignments. Based on its position it’s pretty accessible from any part of the campus giving lots of commute time. If you’re hungry it’s a short walk from Starbucks and Tim Hortons is downstairs.” – Aieysha H.
