Two nights ago I attended the advance screening of The Divergent Series: Allegiant. I’m going to start out by saying that I go to a LOT of advance screenings for work (I know, poor me right?). But this screening was the CRAZIEST one I’ve ever been to. If you follow us on Snapchat, you would have seen why.

The line up for tickets as so long, it had a part one and a part two. It was insane! But, made total sense – this movie series has definitely earned it.

Allegiant had it all. The action, the romance, the plot: it was all there. Allegiant directly follows the events from Insurgent after (SPOILER ALERT) the demise of Kate Winslet’s Jeanine character. Naomi Watts reprises her role as Evelyn and pretty much follows the same unfortunate path that Jeanine did as leader of the dystopian Chicago. Four and Tris, played by Shailene Woodley, lead a small group of survivors into the outside world which was teased at the end of the last film.

The best part about this film? It had me constantly engaged – I honestly never felt like it lost my attention, not even once. I’ll also point out that Allegiant’s best actor award goes to Theo James, and I’m not saying that just because he’s beautiful (but come on, that doesn’t work against him either).

If you’re a fan of action – this movie is for you. The gripping scenes have your own body FILLED with adrenaline (and you almost feel as if you’re there with them). The Visual Effects were amazing, the cinematography was incredible and of course, as mentioned earlier – the acting was fantastic.

Basically, there are 2 types of people who should go see this movie:

  1. If you’re a huge fan of the books and have been following the series
  2. Everyone else.
