Frosh week is such an exciting part of university/college that nobody wants to miss out on. It’s so important to stay healthy during this time so you can make the most of the experience. I’m in no way suggesting that you give up everything to  put all your focus and time into health but there are some simple steps you can take that in time will become habits you don’t think twice about. If I can do it, so can you.

Drink lots of Water

It is sooooooo important to stay hydrated, especially when you’re spending so much time outdoors being active. Grab a reusable water bottle, write your name on it, and keep it with you at ALL times. How much water should you be drinking? It all depends on how much you weigh. Ideally you should be drinking half your weight in ounces. So if you weigh 150 pounds, drink about 75 ounces of water a day.

Be the Person Who Doesn’t Share

It’s a super easy time to catch a virus which means it’s a time when you can forget everything your junior kindergarten teacher taught you about sharing. Avoid sharing drinks, cutlery, or taking bites of people’s food. GERMS SPREAD OK? Just take precaution.

Get Some Sleep

I realize that frosh week is all about late nights and parties but sleep is pretty important. Whenever you get the chance to catch up on sleep, take advantage. The last thing you want is to be so overtired that you crash. You’re not missing much if you go back to your dorm an hour early.

Vitamins are your Friend

Before you head out to school, go to your local GNC and pick up some vitamins to take through university. Vitamins like B12 and vitamin C will help boost your immune system and give you healthy energy. When in doubt pick up a good multivitamin.
