What you’ll need:

1) A mason jar

2) Any ingredient you love in your salad!

“Salad in a Jar” is SUCH an easy and convenient way to make sure you’re eating healthy ALL week! Plus, it’s no muss no fuss. Whatever you like in your salad, you can add in your jar! There’s only ONE golden rule: keep the dressing on the bottom, and store the lighter (i.e. lettuce) ingredients on top! You don’t want your salad getting soggy during the day before you can crack it open.

Here are some scrumptious ideas to add in your salad jar:

Balsamic Chicken: First, add in your Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing! Then, throw in some chopped cooked or grilled chicken, crushed walnuts, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Whatever you like in your salad, you can add in your jar.

Greek Pasta: Add in a lemon vinaigrette, or classic Greek salad dressing. Top that off with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cooked pasta, fetta cheese and chopped lettuce.

Sweet & Savory Quinoa: Add your favourite dressing first (try a homemade mixture of lemon juice and honey), then throw in your prepared quinoa, chickpeas, dried cranberries, and any type of cheese you like! Save some money and use feta cheese for this one too! Finish it off with some arugula or baby spinach to get your green on.

PS – Seal these lids tightly; your Salad in a Jar can last up to 5 days in the fridge!
