Spring semester is drawing to an end, and it’s that time of year again! Even though you can almost FEEL summer break on your skin, you know there’s still that mountain to climb before jumping into that swimsuit: final exams. Back to back.

Stress from exams can feel pretty overwhelming, but it’s important to take care of yourself even if you’ve declared residency on the 4th floor of your school lib. Even though pulling all-nighters, eating protein bars and drinking copious amounts of coffee seems like the way to get through these next few weeks, it’s also counter-active to staying alert, refreshed, and energized. During this crazy time, keeping yourself fed, watered and exercised is your best friend.

Here are three habits to stick to:

  1. Keep moving: Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise in each day… even if that means walking laps around the lib. Or, if you don’t have time to head to the gym, YouTube bodyweight workouts that are JUST as effective!
  2. Don’t deprive yourself of hearty meals: We know exam time CAN be time-sensitive, and sometimes meal planning is not an option when you have 9 more pages to write for English lit. When you’re rushing out the door, plan where you’ll take a lunch break so you don’t FORGET to eat (it happens!).
